What is Somatic Experiencing?

Somatic Experiencing® (SE) offers a gentle path back to yourself, working with your body's natural wisdom to heal from difficult or overwhelming experiences. Rather than just talking, we'll work together using body awareness, imagery, and gentle movement to help you feel more like yourself. Whether you've experienced a car accident, physical injury, birth trauma, childhood trauma, a medical procedure, abuse, or other challenging events, SE can help you find your way forward.

Many people come to SE feeling anxious, jumpy, emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, numb, or struggling in their relationships – and find relief through this gentle approach. As your nervous system rediscovers its natural rhythm, you may notice yourself feeling more resilient, trusting your instincts more deeply, and experiencing a greater sense of aliveness. We'll move at your pace, creating a safe space for you to reconnect with your inner wisdom and gradually feel more at home in your body and the world around you.

Therapy Services

  • Individual Therapy

In individual therapy sessions, we create a safe, nurturing space for you to explore your unique journey. Each session moves at your own pace, honoring your body's innate capacity for healing while helping you develop practical tools for managing overwhelm and finding greater ease in your daily life. Whether you're seeking relief from specific traumatic experiences or looking to transform long-standing patterns, our work together supports your natural path toward wholeness and coming home to yourself.

  • Relationship Therapy

Looking for support in your romantic relationship(s), friendship, family, or co-parenting partnership? We’ll blend a somatic lens with relational work to support increased connection to yourselves and each other. If you and your loved one(s) are LGBTQIA+, practicing Consensual Non-Monogamy, or parents needing to settle your nervous systems as you raise tiny humans, this is the space for you.

  • Adjunct Somatic Therapy

Already have a talk therapist but looking for a new modality to shift stuck patterns? In adjunct somatic work, I will partner with you and your talk therapist to support increased capacity and flexibility in your nervous system. This can be short-term work focused on a specific goal, such as: processing birth trauma or preparing for labor; working through trauma from a car accident, injury, or medical event; expanding your body’s protective strategies beyond dissociation; or increasing your capacity to be with your body while navigating chronic pain.
